Apologizing Over and Over: Botanical Intervention

This page is a peak into all of my apologies before my final thesis show. This a year-long durational work where I sincerely apologize to a specific plant each day for an entire year. I began on March 3rd, 2022. The apology forms vary among public performance, written word, paintings, and sculptures. I am trying to remake and understand how I relate to plants with the ultimate goal of working to  mitigate the harm humanity causes to the non-human. I am making kin with plants, but I am not pretending to be a perfect steward for them. I am only human and I am trying to say sorry.

Each month I design a calendar to keep track of the apologies. I publish a book every two months to compile this ongoing archive. This is not being published digitally fully yet, so here is just a glimpse of the process.
